How big do I get?: Meerkats grow up to 35cm tall as adults!

Where do I live?: Meerkats are found in desserts and grasslands of Africa.

How long do I live for?: Meerkats live up to an average of 14 years old in captivity, however sometimes as low as half of that in the wild due to lack of food and predators.

Do I have a family?: Yes, Meerkats are very sociable animals and live in mobs up to and beyond of 30 per family. However meerkats will very rarely accept meerkats from outside of their mob! Meerkats are so sociable that in order for them to reproduce, they need multiple same sex animals within the mob to create the correct brain chemicals.
