Animal workshops catering to ASN & care experienced young people and adults

Luke Mitchell company founder & owner was a care experienced young person who grew
up in services which although it has some incredible care workers, not all we're like this
and had very little therapeutic approaches nor understanding.
Luke vowed to change the world for care experienced young people, or at the least change
someone's world.
The company was created as an entertainment company while Luke also worked within the
care sector for several years starting with adults then moving onto childcare as these
visions were coming to fruition.
Luke seen the impact that animals had on the adults and young people he was working
with both within the care sector and private through crazy critters experience, in time
realised he wished to create a environment kids like himself could flourish, then came the
visions of the animal workshops.
A care service reached out to Luke and asked if he could deliver an animal therapy
programme however understanding the benefits of animals is different from delivering a
programme with targets to get through young people to a place they got true therapeutic
input from and there Luke set on his mission to understand why animals impacted those
he worked with, not just how.
To which Luke discovered a foundation of knowledge, an understanding he couldn't imagine
that using the correct tools, animals could not only just help provide a therapeutic
environment but actually change the lives of those he worked with.
The animal workshops to date have transformed the lives of multiple young people
(references below), which impact development, growth and independence in all who have
partook including self regulation, overcoming traumatic triggers and finding healthier
behaviour patterns for all.
Luke discovered that childcare is moving vastly towards therapeutic approaches however
is neglecting the key value in providing sensory stimulation, tools for the young people to
grow with their skill level & forgetting the importance of the needs to develop, which the
workshops compliment extremely well with the brain chemical reactions to animals touch,
it can stimulate key brain chemicals which are crucial to development, growth and
relationships.
Those chemical reactions within the mind are some of the tools needed to build
understanding, for our clients.
The workshops are catered to groups and individuals while working with the animals we
use a lot of reflective learning in a fun and adventurous manner which allows the young
people and adults to not only enjoy their time but truly gain the benefits of the workshops
learning skills and reaching milestones within their lives in a calm, nurturing environment
leading to success.
